Charles StrawPresident, interim CEO & Director
Mr. Straw is a second-generation economic geologist with over 26 years’ experience in mineral project assessment and exploration management in the Americas, Australia and China.
He has more than 15 years experience in executive management for both private and listed junior explorers on major global stock exchanges. His expertise includes company financing, joint ventures, resource definition and feasibility studies plus economic analysis and project management of all phases of project assessment from target generation to BFS. Mr Straw’s experience is largely on metalliferous minerals projects in a broad range of deposit styles and geological terranes. Mr Straw has a broad international network of technical, management, drilling and funding teams providing access to high-quality people, projects and capital.
Stephen PearceCFO, Corporate Secretary & Director
Mr. Stephen Pearce has 25 years of experience in mining and law. His current focus is on corporate and securities work and past experience includes mine management and operations. He sits on several boards and is the CFO of two mineral exploration companies. Mr. Pearce received his law degree from the University of British Columbia and an Honours Bachelors Degree in economics from York University with an emphasis on corporate finance. Stephen is active in his community and serves as President of WRAGS (Western Regional Advocacy Group Society), a non-profit organization which works in partnership with Sleep Country Canada to provide free mattresses to those in our community most in need.
Grant DuddleDirector
Mr. Duddle has over 20 years’ experience in equity markets as a stock-broker focused on extractive industries. He has extensive experience raising capital for mining and exploration projects in a wide range of jurisdictions and commodities.
Anthony BalicDirector
Mr. Balic is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and is a Principal of Katuni Capital Corp., a private company providing corporate finance, accounting and capital advisory services to private and public companies. Mr. Balic serves as a director and/or officer to a number of junior public companies in the natural resource sector and was previously a senior manager at Deloitte LLP, where he specialized in assurance and advisory services for publicly listed mining companies based both in Canada and the United States.
Colin SmithTechnical Consultant
Colin Smith, M.Sc., P.Geo., is a professional geologist and mining executive with over 20 years' experience advancing exploration and mining projects throughout the Western Hemisphere, ranging from greenfields project generation to M&A takeover. Colin has garnered a technical expertise in epithermal and mesothermal Au-Ag, porphyry Cu-Au-Mo, ultramafic-associated PGMs, unconformity-related uramium, diamonds, and coal.
Smith's recent roles include Sr. Exploration Geologist at SSR Mining Inc., VP Exploration at ValOre Metals Corp., and CEO of Gold Basin Resources Corp. Colin designed and implemented district wide exploration for Claude Resources Inc. at the Seabee Gold Operation in northern Saskatchewan (>1.7 Moz Au produced) when it was acquired by SSR Mining Inc. in 2016 for a valuation of C$337M.
Mr. Smith is currently CEO & Director of Toogood Gold Corp. and First Andes Silver Ltd., and holds a B.Sc. degree in Geology from the University of British Columbia, and a M.Sc. degree in Economic Geology from the University of Victoria.
